Designed to detect both processed and unprocessed allergenic target proteins.

The test is suitable for environmental samples, CIP flushing water and food samples. A universal extraction protocol streamlines testing for multiple analytes, saving you reagents and valuable time.

The 3M Macadamia Nut Protein ELISA set is intended for the detection of macadamia nut proteins in clean-in-place water (CIP), final rinse water, environmental samples, food ingredients and processed food products.

The 3M Macadamia nut protein ELISA set uses a sandwich ELISA. The macadamia nut proteins present in the sample react with the anti-macadamia nut antibody absorbed on the surface of polystyrene microtiter wells. After removing the unbound proteins via washing, anti-macadamia nut antibodies are added that are linked to horseradish peroxidase (HRP). These enzymes-labeled antibodies form complexes with the previously bound macadamia nut protein.

After a second washing phase, the enzyme bound to the immunosorbent is detected by the addition of a chromogenic substrate, namely 3.3 ', 5.5' tetramethylbenzidine (TMB). The color change of this enzymatic reaction varies directly with the macadamia nut protein concentration in the tested sample. As a result, the absorbance at 450 nm is a measure of the macadamia nut protein concentration in the test sample.

The amount of macadamia nut protein in the test sample can be extrapolated from the standard curve prepared from standards of known concentrations and adjusted to account for the dilution of the sample.
