The Comply 1255 indicator tape for steam sterilization consists of an adhesive layer, a backing layer and chemical indicator stripes. The adhesive layer has an aggressive, pressure sensitive adhesive that adheres to a wide variety of treated and untreated non-woven paper and paper / plastic packages to hold the set together during steam sterilization.

The backing is made from saturated, blue colored crepe paper and stretches sufficiently to adapt to the expansion of the bag during sterilization. The chemical indicator lines turn dark brown / black on a blue background when exposed to a flow sterilization process.
